Obituary

LEONA MAE HENDERSON,

She loved to read; her favorite was the Harry Potter series. Leona tended to her plants and orchids. An avid bird watcher, she threw them seed out her kitchen window.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; sisters: Doris Koehler, Martha Zbock, Betty Walker; her brother, Donovan Albertson. A special thank you to Kingston Family Practice, Hills and Dale Hospital, Covenant Healthcare, Fischer Rehab Center and Reliacare for their caring service.

We have broken hearts with the news of your Mother's passing. The Marquardt Family have loved her deeply as the years have past and generation had an opportunity to meet Leona. All the Marquardt children as they went through the school and ate her delicious lunches and in the past few years as the next generation meet her when we visited to sing her Christmas Carols. She always told us how much she enjoyed it but little did she know it was the highlight of our Family Christmas!! We know we sang off key and not everyone knew all the words but she would always sit, smile and just let us get those three songs in, the same three every year. It was always so precious watching her talk to the little ones, get a hug (that you could tell she loved)and sometimes a kiss or two. Then the rest of the family would get our Christmas hug. It was always so special. We are really going to miss Leona this Christmas and she will be on our minds the day we all are together, but she will be in our hearts forever. She was an amazing woman and loved by all that knew her. We pray for you and your family and hope the memories that are shared with you in the days to come will bring comfort.
Much love,
Dale and Ellen
