LOIS ELAINE ALBRECHT
Lois E. Albrecht, 91, of Owendale, died peacefully and gracefully with her family by her side, Thursday January 10, 2019 in her home. She was born January 9, 1928 at home in Brookfield Township, the second of six children born to Edmund and Bernadine (Kretzchmer) Good, Sr. She married Robert Lloyd Albrecht on July 10, 1948 in Evangelical United Brethren Church of Owendale.
Lois graduated from Owendale High School in 1946 and attended nursing school in Saginaw until her marriage to Robert. An active member of the Owendale United Methodist Church, she served her church as a Sunday School teacher. Lois was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church Women’s Group, Farm Bureau and the Eastern Star. Having great skill with a sewing machine, she made numerous baby quilts for many families. Lois enjoyed time spent in her gardens tending to her vegetables and flowers. In 1967, Lois received the United Fund Campaign Achievement Award.
Lois is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Robert; children: Donald “LeRoy” (Deb) Albrecht of Unionville; Elaine (Roger) VanLoo of Scottsdale, AZ; Jim (Susan) Albrecht of Owendale; MaraLee Albrecht of East Lansing; Wayne Albrecht of Essexville; Ellen (Bill) Perdue of Owendale; Janet (Pedro) Santos of Bay City; grandchildren: Eric (Angie) Albrecht, Lisa VanLoo, Brandon (Jessica) Albrecht, Melissa (Rich) Witkovsky, Travis Albrecht, Rutger Breakey, Derek (Rebecca) Albrecht, Bryan (Mandy) Baker, Aaron (Kristi) Baker, Billy Perdue, Jeff Perdue, Brett Lenda; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Truemner of Cass City; brothers: Edmund Good, Jr. of Gagetown; Lloyd Good of Sebewaing; Bob Good of Holly; sisters in law: Lois (Merlin) Kain of Bad Axe, Hazel Good; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Good; grandson, Jeremy Albrecht; great grandson, Anthony Baker.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Demyanovich officiating. Interment in Grant Township Cemetery.
