ANITA MARIE PROSOWSKI
Anita M. Prosowski, 101, of Cass City, died peacefully Tuesday evening, January 13, 2026 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility of Caro. She was born February 2, 1924 to Paul and Pauline (Gore) Herta in Detroit. She married Edward Joseph Prosowski on July 21, 1945 in Detroit MI. He died October 14, 1989.
Anita left high school before graduation to work in a factory making parts for airplanes during World War II. She worked for Federal Department Stores, Koebel Diamond Tool, and Hydrolink. In 1989, Anita went back to school and received her GED. During retirement, she worked for Wendy’s Restaurant and delivered Meals on Wheels. Anita enjoyed photography, puzzles, gardening, and bird watching. She loved to travel, especially with her daughter Barbara, with the Victoria’s Missionary and the Tryettes Club. Anita loved her family and taking care of everyone. She was always positive and a light in everyone’s heart.
Anita is survived by her children: Barbara Prosowski of Caro, Linda Regnerus of Bradenton, FL; Alan Prosowski of Cass City; grandchildren: Alan (Carrie) Prosowski Jr. of Auburn, Christine (Brian Zuzga) Prosowski of Unionville, Michael Prosowski of Sebewaing, Sonya (Paul Holleran) Regnerus of Bradenton, FL; great-grandchildren: Kailey (Cody Boesch) Becker of Sebewaing, Nathan Prosowski of Auburn, Noah Prosowski of Auburn, Mason (Kourtney Fritz) Becker of Unionville. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers and sisters: Dorothy, Donald, Norman, Paul and Marianne; son-in-law, Dennis Regnerus; daughter-in-law, Terry Prosowski.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. A memorial mass, with interment in Elkland Township Cemetery, will be held in the spring. Memorials can be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
