ANTOINETTE VIVIAN STACHURA
Antoinette V. Stachura, 84, of Deford died peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2025 in her home. Antoinette was born December 18, 1940 in Detroit to Anthony and Marion (Trepczynski) Zella. She married Raymond J. Stachura on November 7, 1964 in Detroit. He died November 19, 2003.
Antoinette graduated from Holy Redeemer High School in Detroit. She attended Great Lakes Junior College and Baker Junior College where she received associate’s degrees in business. Antoinette was employed as a bookkeeper. Together with her husband, she was a life member of the Dearborn Heights Lodge No. 1795 and the Caro Lodge No. 1049 of the Loyal Order of Moose. Antoinette had a strong faith and was very involved in many activities in Lamotte Missionary Church, including the Lunch and Learn Program, and obtaining school supplies for the children. Her lifelong hobby was making and decorating ceramics. She sold these from her store, Ceramics by Antoinette.
Antoinette is survived by her daughter, Annette (James) Scott of Clinton Twp.; her son, Raymond K. (Tina) Stachura of Cass City; grandchildren: Lindsay Scott, Ryan Scott, Sarah Kane, Jessica (Michael) Shonebarger; great-grandchildren: Cathrine Kane, Nyla Shonebarger; her sister, Mary Ann Ranke; many nieces, nephews, and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Zella.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025 in Lamotte Missionary Church, Marlette with Pastor J.T. Mabe officiating. Interment in Novesta Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to Lamotte Missionary Church.
