Carole A. Bessler, 63, of Cass City, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Courtney Manor Nursing Facility, Bad Axe, after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born September 1, 1951 in Romulus to Fred E. and Genevieve B. (Graczyk) Bessler.
Carole worked for GM Truck and Coach in Walled Lake before moving to the Cass City area, where she worked for General Cable. Carole was a member of Novesta Church of Christ since 1998. She was a devoted Christian and devoted mother. Carole loved to read and she was very creative. She enjoyed many crafts including tole painting, crocheting, photography and making fabric dolls. Carole was the proud mother listening to her son and daughter-in-law on stage singing and playing in their band. She enjoyed taking trips with Heather and teaching her to cook and craft. Carole shared her compassion with families who have experienced the death of a loved one by making memory bears from their clothing and also quilts for hospice and loved ones.
Carole is survived by her children: Michael (Angie) Edginton of St. Augustine, FL; Heather Edginton of Caro; sister, Patricia (Mark) Peck of Cass City; brothers: Roger (Susan) Bessler of Commerce Township, Paul (Mickie) Bessler of Cass City; nieces and nephews: Brian Bessler, Kalab Bessler, Stacey Bessler, Jessica Bessler, Melissa Bessler. She is preceded in death by an infant brother, Fred.
Memorial service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 in Novesta Church of Christ with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
