RONALD VERN BEUTLER,
79, of Kingston, died following a short illness, Monday, February 24, 2020 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center. He was born January 6, 1941 in Pontiac to Vyron and Margaret (Klinkman) Beutler. He married Sharon Kaye Hazzard August 4, 1962 in Walled Lake.
Ron graduated from West Bloomfield High School in 1959. He worked for General Motors for 30 years retiring at the age of 50. Ron’s passion was his family and his vegetable and fruit gardens. He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and clocks, and carpentry. Ron’s favorite outdoor sports included deer and turkey hunting, and fishing. He loved camping in the Rifle River State Recreational Park in Lupton.
Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Sharon; children: Kelly (Rick) Hale of Gaines; Karen (Brian) Hale of Madison, ME; Ronald Kevin Beutler of Kingston; grandchildren: Karalie (Brady) Thelander, Brooke (Ethan) Waiger, Hannah (Zak) Allen, Olivia Hale, Rachelle Hale, Audrey (Andrew) King, Jesse Hale, Michael Beutler; great grandchildren: Beckett, Knox, Brigham, Owen, Everly; brother, Eugene (Phyllis) Beutler of Kingston; sister, Janet (Harmon) Beaty of Hartland; mother-in-law, Janette Hazzard of Croswell; brothers-in-law: Garth (Joyce) Hazzard of Deford, Rex (Debra) Hazzard of Applegate; sister-in-law, Lynette Boshaw of Croswell. He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Clifford Hazzard; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Beutler.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette or Gideons. Interment will take place in the spring in Argyle Township Cemetery. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
