Irva Metha Bock (Schulz)

IRVA METHA BOCK
93, of Cass City, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022 on her birthday in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City. She was born March 23, 1929 in her grandparents’ home in Sebewaing to Walter and DeWilda (Faber) Schulz. She married Gerald William Augusta Bock on October 2, 1948. He died June 7, 2003.

Irva was employed as a Cass City School bus driver for six years. She also kept busy helping Gerald on their dairy and crop farm. Irva was affiliated with Farm Bureau. Her talents included gardening, canning, embroidery, and quilting. She had a strong affection for all animals. Irva was delighted to have won several prizes on the radio. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City. Irva assisted with Sunday School and served on the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed winter months in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Irva is survived by her children: Randy (Karen) Bock of Ubly, Thomas (Shari) Bock of Cass City, Steven (Kathy) Bock of Cass City, Dave (Shari) Bock of Cass City; grandchildren: Tammy (Paul) Gugel, Nathan (Ashley) Bock, Jennifer Bock, Jamie (Andrew) Hall, Stephanie (Greg) Wills, Kaitlyn Bock, Jonathan Bock, Matthew Bock (Kim Koglin), Andrew (Danielle) Bock, Payton Bock; fourteen great grandchildren. Irva is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Diane Bock.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City with Rev. Steve Bagnall officiating. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery-Kilmanagh, Sebewaing. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Compassus Hospice of Cass City.
