CAROLYN MAE CHAPMAN,
92, of Cass City, died Friday, November 29, 2013 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. She was born September 10, 1921 in Pontiac to Arthur Conrad and Celia (Carlson) Johnson. She married Ralph Lloyd Chapman November 7, 1946 in Muskegon.

Carolyn enjoyed people. She was a wonderful wife of over 67 years, loving mother and grandmother and took good care of her family. She enjoyed cooking especially holiday meals when she could be surrounded by her family. Carolyn and Ralph willingly raised their granddaughter, Jamie after their daughter and son-in-laws death. Carolyn enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels play in the yard. Carolyn loved animals and was an easy touch when the children or grandchildren wanted a pet.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ralph Chapman; children: Lynda Guinther of Tucson, AZ, Marlene (Gene) Hopper of Cass City; grandchildren: Jamie (Scott) Nordman, Trent Guinther, Matthew Hopper, Rochelle Hopper; great grandchildren: Allyson, Hannah, Alex, Caitlyn, Kendra; step great granddaughters: Emily and Grace. She is preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and James Crane; son-in-law, Charles Guinther.

Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Chapman: Gene Hopper, Scott Nordman, Matthew Hopper, Randy Kelley, Ed Paladi and Jack Generous. Memorials may be made to Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or Alzheimers Association. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
