CHARLOTTE JOAN SANGSTER
Charlotte Joan Sangster, 81, of Decker, entered her eternal home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 in McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. She was born January 28, 1944 in Cass City to Verne and Eva (Huffman) Watson. In 1975, Charlotte married George Wallace Sangster Sr. in Deford Community Church. Their years together were filled with love and faith until his passing in 1989.
Charlotte was a graduate of Cass City High School and spent much of her career at General Cable. She was known for her love of animals, especially dogs and horses, and for delighting in simple joys such as working on puzzle books and watching game shows. Charlotte’s faith was the foundation of her life, often saying she “couldn’t go a day without God.” She is remembered for the joy she found in listening to hymns and Daniel O’Donnell, studying her Bible, and especially for her legacy of faithful prayer. She was a devoted member of Mizpah Missionary Church for more than forty years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Becky Sangster; her stepchildren, Kim (Herb) Burkett, George (Kelly) Sangster Jr., and Rob (Leah) Sangster; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, many friends and loved ones who were blessed by her kindness and steadfast faith. Charlotte now rejoices in heaven, reunited with her husband, George, and grandson, Andrew.
Funeral service held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Dale Bullock of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Becky Sangster to be used at the family’s discretion.
