Henry "Chip" Ciesielski

Henry “Chip” Ciesielski of Gladwin, Michigan, formerly of Cass City

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6,
2021, at HealthSource of Saginaw. He was 69 years old. Chip was born on December 19, 1951, in Detroit,
Michigan, to Henry Ciesielski and Mary Ann Antczak. Chip proudly served his country by enlisting in the
United States Navy. Upon his return, he married Janice “Jan” Marie Wilson on September 14, 1976 in
Caro, Michigan; she survives him. Chip worked in Elkton as a laborer in the factory, an over the road
truck driver, and as a bus driver for Cass City Public Schools for many years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting,
and taking motorcycle rides with Jan and his son, Jess. He will forever be remembered for the love he
had for his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Jan Ciesielski of Saginaw; son, Jess (Lisa) Ciesielski of Freeland; two grandchildren:
Lillian and Zane Reichle of Freeland, mother, Mary Ann Porritt of Marshville, WI; two sisters: Val (Gary)
Niziolek of Marshville, WI; Sally Doerr of Northville; two brothers- and three sisters-in-law: Bob, Tom,
Martha, Michell, and Barb; an aunt Margie McDiarmid. Also surviving are a nephew, three nieces,
cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather, brother James Ciesielski; brother-in-law, Daniel
Wilson, and a niece, Shannon Niziolek.

A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the W. L. Case & Company
Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate with Military Honors rendered under
the auspices of the United States Navy and American Legion Post #439. Honoring Chip’s wishes
cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at the funeral chapel on
Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Service ordinance, masks are required, visitation is limited to 25 people at a time, and social distancing encouraged. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
