MARCIA CLARE COPELAND
77, of Cass City died following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw. She was born June 26, 1944 in Marlette to William and Dorothy (Weir) Benedict. She married Robert John Copeland on June 6, 1964 in her parent's home in Marlette. He died June 14, 2012.

Marcia worked at Hills and Dales Hospital in the shipping and receiving department. She later worked as a receptionist for Dr. Judy Ecker at Northeastern Foot Clinic and Bay City Foot Clinic and retired after twenty-five years. In her younger years, Marcia enjoyed horse racing with Robert at various fairs. She was a porcelain doll maker, a member of bowling leagues and always had QVC on her television. Marcia enjoyed many visits to the casino, especially in Las Vegas.

Marcia is survived by her children: Mark (Susan) Copeland of Deford, Tracy King of Cass City; grandchildren: Whitney (Evan) Laurie of Cass City, Melissa Keezer of Caro, Mason Copeland of Deford, Riley Copeland of Deford, Gideon King of KS, Michael King of KS; great-grandchildren: Porter, Reece, Millie, Alexander, Kai; sister, Noralee Volz of Marlette; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ron Benedict.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Phil Burkett of Cass City Missionary Church officiating.
