CHARLES DAILEY CREASON, SR.,
81, of Cass City died following a long illness Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. He was born July 20, 1935 in Kokomo, IN to Alfred Dailey and Edna (James) Creason. He married Barbara Anne Short July 20, 1979 in Cass City. She died February 3, 2004.
Charles worked on the family farm before taking a job driving a milk truck. Charles was a talented mechanic working for many years at the Ford Garage in Cass City. He retired from Cass City Community School District as a bus mechanic after over 15 years of service. In years past Charles enjoyed camping with his family. He used his mechanic and welding talents to make many things ranging from bird houses and wagons to goal posts for the football field.
Charles is survived by his children: Doreen Williams of Cass City, Leah Pabst of Marlette, Paula Osentoski of Cass City, Chris (Bryan) Brown of Decker, Charles "Chip" (Tonya) Creason, Jr. of Cass City, James (Katie) Creason of Vassar, Deb (Harry) McAlpine of Macks Creek, MO, Dawn Dewey of Cass City; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; caregiver and special friend, Marlene Sieradzki. He is preceded in death by his sons-in-law: Daniel Williams, Thomas Dewey; granddaughters: Stephanie Dewey, Evyn Brown; great grandsons: William Hennessey, Gavin Hennessey; brothers: Wayne Creason, Thomas Creason, Frank Creason, Alfred Creason; sisters: Pauline Mills, Adaline Winchester.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor JT Mabe officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
