BERTHA MARGARET DANDRON
85, of Kingston, died Monday morning, February 27, 2023 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center, Marlette. She was born May 19, 1937 in Port Huron to Earl and Cecila Block. She married Dorsen “Gene” Dandron.
Bertha loved to cook and spend time with her family. Most likely, everyone that knew her was blessed with a meal of her stuffed cabbage or chicken and dumplings. Bertha enjoyed antiques and shopping at garage sales. She would skillfully negotiate the price of everything she purchased. Bertha was extremely fond of her Walker beagle, Cowboy and in her eyes, he could do no wrong. She was the biological mother of nine children, but was a mother and friend to hundreds more.
Bertha is survived by her children: Laura (Steve) Lalko, Elizabeth (Robert) Woodward, Alan (Deb) Dandron, Kenny (Nancy) Dandron, Angie Dandron, Susan (Gordon) Hull, Gene Dandron, Harold (Lynnette) Dandron; grandchildren: Eric Lalko, Lyndsay Smith, Lance Lyons, Misty Roberts, Sarah Kinel, Don Waun, Tanner Dandron, Ashley Dandron, Taylor Dandron, Crystal Ewald, Miranda Dandron; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsen “Gene” Dandron; son, Joel Dandron; granddaughter, Liberty Lyons.
A celebration of Bertha’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center, 2770 Main Street, Marlette, MI 48453 .
