Danny D. Craig, 74, of Cass City, died Tuesday, June 2, 2026 in his home. He was born March 2, 1952 in Pathfork, KY the youngest of twelve children born to George and Nancy (Moore) Craig. He married Claudette Calhoun on October 12, 1985 in Clarkston.

Danny’s nickname was “Blue Dog”. He was well known as a coon hunter and an American Kennel Club member. Danny also raised and sold hunting dogs. He enjoyed maintaining his yard and property. Danny loved casting lines and catching fish with his grandson. A man of faith, he loved the Lord. Danny took his children to church every Sunday and used his goofy sense of humor to bring endless laughter to those he loved.

Danny is survived by his wife of forty years, Claudette; son, Jeffrey Allen Craig; daughter, Verda Mae Hepfer; grandchildren: Willow, Zackery, Olivia, David, Peyton, Logan, Jessie Jane, Hailey, Annabelle, Wyatt; great granddaughter, Ashlyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings.

Respecting Danny’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
