Donald Lloyd Bartle

DONALD LLOYD BARTLE 

            Donald L. Bartle, 88, of Marlette, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Medilodge of Cass City.  He was born October 22, 1935 in Cass City to Harvey Lloyd and Mary Genevieve (O’Connor) Bartle.

            Don graduated from Cass City High School in 1953.  He then attended business school in Bay City where he studied accounting.  Don was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1955 and was stationed in Germany.  Upon returning home, he worked in the office of Marlette Homes for many years until they closed.  Don was later employed as a courier for Tri County Bank.  He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

            Don is survived by his sisters:  Linda (Michael) Sullivan of Vassar, Janice Jones of Snover; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Bartle.    

            Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating.  Military honors conducted by Cass City V.F.W. Post #3644 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.   Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery in the spring.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cass City V.F.W. Post #3644. 

               Visitation:  10 am to 12 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
