RUTH MARGARITE SCHEMBER DORMAN,
96, of Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro formerly of Cass City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born at home August 20, 1919 in Cass City the first of four children born to Rinerd and Mable (Klemmer) Knoblet. She married Archie Dorman August 20, 1972. He died October 14, 1991.

Ruth worked for the Caro State Hospital as a nurse for 28 years. She was a member and former President of Woman's Christian Temperance Union for many years. She enjoyed quilting and made each grandchild a quilt for their high school graduation. Ruth was a longtime member of Cass City Missionary Church. Ruth loved all her family so much and prayed for them daily. Now she is in Heaven with her Jesus who she dearly loved and praised. Following his death, Ruth wrote a book about her son, David's life.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Lyle Schember of Grand Rapids, Paul (Kaylene) Schember of Nicholasville, KY; daughter-in-law, Marcia Schember of Cass City; step-sons, Dennis (Ellen) Dorman of Livonia, Edward (Bonnie); 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and the 8th great great grandchild due in October. She is preceded in death by her sons: David Schember and Rinerd Schember; granddaughter, Renee DeGrandchamp; great grandson, Jason Smith; sisters: Martha Putnam, Charlotte Lockwood; brother, Frederick Knoblet.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Cass City Missionary Church with Dr. Phil Burkett officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Dorman will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to Deford Christian Academy.
