ELEANOR JANE TRUEMNER
Eleanor J. Truemner, 90, of Cass City, died Monday morning, July 13, 2026 in Heritage Hill Assisted Living, Caro. She was born September 10, 1935 in Brookfield Township to Edmund and Bernadine (Kretzschmer) Good, Sr. She married Lyle Noah Truemner on September 4, 1954 in Owendale. He died November 10, 2002.
Eleanor graduated from Owendale High School in 1953. Following high school, she worked for General Cable in Cass City. For many years, Eleanor worked in the catering business at the Colony House of Cass City. Together, Eleanor and Lyle enjoyed camping adventures including traveling across many states with their fifth wheel trailer. She was an active member of Cass City United Methodist Church. Eleanor assisted with the organization of numerous funeral dinners and special church events. She was passionate about cooking and baking. Eleanor also volunteered her time at the Thumb Octagon Barn.
Eleanor is survived by her children: Dana (Ann) Truemner of Cass City, Colleen (Kevin) Albosta of Saginaw, Michael (Rhonda) Truemner of Longview, TX; Janel and (Ken) Guilds of Cass City; grandchildren: Gary (Kathy) Truemner, Laura (Bobby) Hampton, Keith Truemner, Drs. Michael (Vittoria) Albosta, Jonathan Albosta, Alexandria (Jonathan) Bunt, Brandon (Allison) Truemner, Kendra (fiance', Jason Roberts) Hunley; ten great grandchildren; brothers: Edmund Good Jr., Robert Good. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Wendall Truemner; siblings: Ronald Good, Lloyd Good, Lois Albrecht.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church or the Thumb Octagon Barn.
Visitation: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2026 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
