JOSEPH FORRO, JR.,
85, of Owendale, died peacefully in his sleep following a lengthy illness, Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Courtney Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehab Community, Bad Axe. He was born December 21, 1934 in West Branch to Joseph and Leona (Streeter) Forro, Sr. He married Anna L. Severn August of 1970 in Salem Lutheran Church of Sebewaing. She died November 18, 2015.
Joseph graduated from Pinconning High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Joseph worked for GM Powertrain in Bay City for forty years until retiring. Having great skill with a pedal steel guitar, he played as often as he could.
Joseph is survived by his son, Gary Forro of Florida; grandsons: Nathan Forro of Owendale, Daniel (Rosa) Forro of Ionia, Justin (Brooke) Forro of West Virginia, great granddaughters: Tayha Forro of Owendale, Kallie Forro of Owendale. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Forro.
Private graveside service held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Grant Township Cemetery. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
