RAYMOND MORRIS FOX,
79, of Cass City, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from stage IV pancreatic cancer, in United Hospice of Marlette Hospice Residence, Marlette, Michigan. He was born December 24, 1940 in Cass City the youngest of four sons born to Ron and Aletha (Morrish) Fox. He married his high school sweetheart, Clotile Thompson, after they met again at the 1991 All-Class Reunion. They were married May 3, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV.

Ray graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1958. He graduated from Michigan State University and the ROTC program in 1962 with a chemical engineering degree. Ray had a twenty-year career in the United States Air Force and obtained a master’s degree in computer science and also business management. He obtained his private, commercial, instrument and multi-engine pilot ratings and also instructor pilot ratings. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Ray was employed by Computer Science Corporation on Edwards Air Force Base in California. He was very active in the 2010 census and directed a large group of individuals in the Fort Walton Beach area of Florida.

Ray assisted in Red Flag operation at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada and Maple Flag in Canada. His love of sports included: golf, baseball, college football and MSU basketball. Ray and Clotile traveled extensively on land and on sea. This included two “around the world” cruises and smaller trips of one to three months in length. When not traveling abroad, the winter months found them in Florida which was their warm get-away to escape the cold Michigan weather.

Ray is survived by his wife, Clotile; brothers: Ed (Sharon) Fox of Cass City; Jim (Karen) Fox of Waterford; sister-in-law, Marilynn Fox of Beavercreek, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Fox.
