CHRISTOPHER CHARLES FRANZEL,
54, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 14, 2019 in his home. He was born July 20, 1965 in Sandusky to Charles John and Sharon Ann (Walsh) Franzel.
Christopher graduated from Ubly High School with the class of 1985. A hard worker, he worked on the family dairy farm and later with his brother Gary for Franzel Carpentry. Chris was a kind and simple man with much love especially for his son Joshua and his family. He enjoyed taking long walks and playing Euchre with his friends.
Christopher is survived by his son, Joshua Franzel of Lansing; his parents: Charles and Sharon Franzel of Ubly; brothers: Michael Franzel of Ubly, David (Jeni) Franzel of Ubly, Kevin Franzel of Ubly, Charles Franzel, Jr. of Caseville, Richard (Sarah) Franzel of Ubly, Rodney Franzel of Ubly, Brian (Nancy) Franzel of Bad Axe, Bradley Franzel of Ubly; sisters: Kimberly (Greg) Keller of Ubly, Karen (Joseph) Pichla of Freeland, Kelly (Robert) Comini of Highland, Kathy Franzel of Sterling Heights; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his infant sister, Elaine; brother, Gary Franzel; grandparents: Leo and Rita Walsh, Glen and Emma Franzel.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Good Shepherd Parish, St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Freiburg with Rev. Nathan E. Harburg officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Freiburg. Memorials may be made to his family for the benefit of his son.
