DARRELL GEORGE FULLER
87, of Caro, died peacefully Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born February 22, 1934 in Springfield Township to George and Emily (Inman) Fuller. He married Betty Grigg on May 5, 1968 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cass City.
Darrell grew up on a farm near Fife Lake and graduated from Kalkaska High School. He continued farming in the Fife Lake area before moving to Caro to begin his career as a machine operator for General Motors, retiring in 1997. Stamp collecting was Darrell’s favorite hobby and he spent many years as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. He loved to travel and visit with his family. Darrell will be fondly remembered as a storyteller and had many to share. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Jason Fuller of Caro; nieces and nephews: Cindy Fuller of Coon Rapids, MN; George Fuller of Cardiff, Wales; Ron (Sabrina) Fuller of Coon Rapids, MN; Steve Fuller of St. Paul, MN; Thomas (Deb) Fuller of Coon Rapids, MN; great nieces and great nephews: Kevin (Bry) Fuller, Kelly (Mitch) Bunker, Jenny (Josh) Ploog, Kaitlynn Fuller, Katherine Fuller, Diana (Joe) Johnson; several great great nieces and great great nephews; brother-in-law, Neal (Sharon) Grigg of Munger; sister-in-law, Grace Grigg of Saginaw; niece and nephew-in-laws: Willy (Barb and Jennifer) Grigg, Brian (Linda) Grigg, Robin (Randy) Walters, Lori Joy (Evans) Lalas, Gary (Tina) Grigg, Kevin (Dale) Grigg, Daniel (Cheryl) Grigg. He is preceded in death by his brother, Earl (Nancy and Ann) Fuller; sister, Dorothy (Homer) Strouse; brothers-in-law: Elden Grigg, Lyle (Polly) Grigg, niece: Gail (Jim) Dockery.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City with Rev. Steven Bagnall officiating. Interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
