Ricky Gabler

Ricky C. Gabler, 62, of Marlette died following a short illness Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky. He was born July 7, 1954 in Cass City the last of eight children born to George Christopher and Anna Sophia (Conley) Gabler.

Ricky enjoyed playing cards, watching cartoons on television and dancing. He loved music and would dance from beginning to end when he had the opportunity. Ricky enjoyed his time at the Mental Health program, Journey, in Sandusky. One of his favorite songs was You Are My Sunshine.

Ricky is survived by his siblings: Evelyn Elvinga of Cass City, Irene McLellan of Deford, David Gabler of Cass City, Judy (Hugh) Ferguson of Marlette, Robert Gabler of Caro; brother-in-law, Robert Pierson of Rochester; many nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gerald (Mary) Gabler; sister, Dorothy Pierson.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Austin Keller of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment in Novesta Township Cemetery.
