OLIVEMARIE "MARIE" GLASCO,
80, of Cass City, died following a short illness Friday, February 6, 2015 in Wellspring Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth. She was born November 21, 1934 in Detroit the third child of four born to George Arnold and Phyllis Marie (Larges) Knop. She married Clyde J. Glasco October 30, 1954 in Shabbona. He died June 26, 1998.
Marie graduated in 1953 from Capac High School. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved to sing and crochet. Marie baked delicious homemade bread.
Marie is survived by her children: Rose Marie Glasco of Millington, Frederick (Lisa) Glasco of Flint; grandchildren: Alesha (Todd) Olejnik, David Field, Kimberly (Dan Hartwell) Glasco, Mike (Dea'Lana) Glasco, Gena (Steven) Ford; great grandchildren: Justin, Jazlyn, Terrance, Aeva, Gavyn, Kamryn, Kataleia, James, Savannah and Trinity. Marie will also be missed by her special friend, Joe Cusenza of Lapeer and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers: William Arthur Knop, Russell Arnold Knop; sister, Joanne Rose Drinkhorn.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Jayme Palaszeski of Shabbona United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in Evergreen Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
