JAMES EDWARD GOETSCH
77, of Cass City died Monday, July 11, 2022 in Medilodge of Cass City. He was born December 26, 1944 in Hazel Park to Carl and Norma (Stolzenfeld) Goetsch. He married Charlene Mary Carlin on September 27, 1968 in Detroit.
Jim graduated from Fitzgerald High School in Warren. He was raised by his grandparents and worked with his uncle, on the family farm, until joining the United States Army. Jim was discharged in 1967, during the Detroit Riots. He worked as a truck driver, delivering to supermarkets, for Bonnie’s Bakers in Detroit. Jim also delivered to restaurants in Detroit and Hazel Park for the Blue Bird Baking Company. Jim enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and feeding birds. He was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Caro.
Jim is survived by his wife, Charlene; son, James Goetsch of Cass City; daughter, Laura Goetsch of Cass City. He is preceded in death by his sister, Alice Goetsch.
Graveside service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Ellington Township Cemetery with Sam Leppert, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating.
