JESSIE ELAINE GOODALL
Jessie E. Goodall, 97, of Cass City died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City. She was born March 2, 1920 in Elmwood Township, Tuscola County the fourth of nine children to Emory and Gladys (Perry) Lounsbury. Jessie married Gordon Alfred Goodall June 4, 1941 in Cass City. He died December 9, 1977.
Jessie graduated Cass City High School in 1937 and from Tuscola County Normal College in 1938. She taught in Crawford School, a one room schoolhouse until 1941. In later years, Jessie worked and touched many lives as a social worker for Tuscola County Social Services. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Cass City serving as a Deacon, Elder and teaching Sunday School. Jessie enjoyed traveling, knitting and crocheting. She loved the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
Jessie is survived by her sons: Gordon (Janice) Goodall of Sanford, Grant (Renee) Goodall of Port Huron; grandchildren: Michael (Kerry) Goodall of Sanford; Gary (Barbara) Goodall of Georgetown, IN; Elizabeth (Richard) Turner of Midland; Greg (Carey) Goodall of Avon, Ohio; Michael (Erin) Williams of Flint; Lisa (Jim) Scrimger of Grand Blanc, Bill (Ashlee) Williams of Powder Springs, GA; two sisters: Vera Brinkman of Southfield, Carol Strecker of Saginaw; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Ussery; grandson, Larry Ussery; granddaughter, Valerie Ussery; brothers: Leslie Lounsbury, Lyle Lounsbury, Norris Lounsbury, Harland Lounsbury, Lynn Lounsbury; sister, Ruth Lounsbury.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in First Presbyterian Church of Cass City with Rev. Linda Graham officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery.
