HAROLD GEORGE PETTINGER
Harold G. Pettinger, 91, of Ubly, passed away peacefully Friday, March 22, 2024 in Northwood Meadows, Medical Care Unit. He was born May 19, 1932 in Ubly to George and Verna (Lowe) Pettinger. He married Velda J. Hill on August 11, 1956 in Cass City. She died September 9, 2016.
Harold was a lifelong dairy farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with neighbors and friends.
Harold is survived by his children: George (LaVonne) Pettinger of Snover; Kristin (Doug) Booms of Harbor Beach; Wayne (Michelle) Pettinger of Caseville; Sue (Jerry) Nast of Ubly; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald (Virginia) Pettinger; sister, Ardis Dean.
Per Harold’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Northwood Meadows or Americans Hospice Care. Harold’s family would like to thank the nursing staff at Northwood Meadows and Americans Hospice for all of their care, comfort, and support.
