CHRISTINE LYNN HOPPE,
47, of Cass City, died unexpectedly but peacefully Saturday, March 27, 2021 in her home. She was born September 9, 1973 in Caro to Randy and Linda (Koepf) Whittaker. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Kevin Allan Hoppe, on October 16, 1992.
Christine graduated from Cass City High School and lived her entire life in Cass City. She attended Jordan College and earned an associate degree in medical records. She was employed by Dr. Mohammad Jafferany, MD as manager of Jafferany Psychiatric Services in Caro. Christine enjoyed working in her flower beds, especially in her rose garden. She was fond of tending to her vegetable gardens and canning what she grew.
Our sweet, beautiful, kind, loving Christine will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend, Kevin, he lovingly called her “Rube”; children: Zachary “Peanut” Hoppe, Chelsea Hoppe; Christine will be forever in the hearts of her mother, Linda Christine Whittaker, who lovingly called her “biscuit”; her father, Randy Whittaker; sister, Trina (Jason) Rushing; brother, Randy “Seppi” (Kelly) Whittaker; her extended family and friends. Christine loved her husky, Kyia; indoor cats: Marshall, Tyrone; outdoor cats: Cali, Oreo; grand fur babies: Layla, Apollo. Her animals loved her kind and gentle way. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Elfriede Koepf; her maternal great-grandmother, Anna “Sissy” Koepf; her paternal grandmother, Irene Whittaker.
Respecting Christine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. Christine will be forever and greatly missed by her loving family and leaves a big void in their hearts. Memorials may be made to Kevin Hoppe for the family’s discretionary fund.
