HUGH DAVID BULLA

Hugh D. Bulla, 61, of Bad Axe, died following a lengthy illness Friday, April 5, 2024 at home.  He was born February 25, 1963 in Cass City to John Calvin and Clara Frances (Periso) Bulla.

Hugh graduated from Cass City High School.  He worked in the construction business along with his brother, Art.  Hugh liked to travel and was known for “running the roads”.  He was fond of playing dice and fishing in his pond when given the chance.  Hugh always enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends.  He loved spending time with his miniature dachshund, Cooper.         

Hugh is survived by his children: David Bulla of Elkton, Christopher Bulla of Elkton, Ethan Bulla of Bad Axe, Carrie Ann Bulla of Elkton; brother, Lawrence (Gail) Bulla of Deford, Arthur Bulla of Elkton; sister-in-law, Patsy (Bill) Chippi of Cass City; grandchildren:  Olivia, Owen, Breanna, Caitlyn, Corbin, Charity, Chandler, Carson, Collen, Colton; his significant other, Helen Schember; his dog, Cooper.  Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Alvin Bulla.   

             Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating.  Interment in Novesta Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to David Bulla for the family’s discretion.
