TAMMY ELIZABETH HURLEY
53, of Saginaw, formerly of Cass City, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Covenant Healthcare Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born April 4, 1968 in Detroit to Roger Frances Hurley and Janet Elizabeth (Wareham) Hurley.
Tammy graduated from Cass City High School in 1987, and also earned a certificate in horticulture from Tuscola County Skill Center. She then worked part-time for a few years at several floral shops in Cass City. Tammy was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Her greatest joy was her son, Shawn. Having a generous heart, Tammy was always thinking of others. She enjoyed gift giving, babysitting for friends, and supporting those in need. Tammy was an avid pool player and played on several women’s and Co-Ed teams throughout the Thumb Area. Along with cracking pool balls, she also cracked a lot of jokes. You could always count on her quick-witted sarcasm to keep you laughing. Most Friday and Saturday nights, Tammy enjoyed dancing the night away with friends.
Tammy is survived by her son, Shawn Wallace Hurley of Cass City; father: Roger Hurley (Connie) of Lake City; siblings: Lorie Hurley (Berlyn Zimmerman) of Saginaw, Steven (Pam) Hurley of Statesville, NC; Wendy (Rick) Sekely of Midland; nieces and nephews: Adam (Krissy), Jeffery, Kristin, Kaitlin, Samantha, Alysha, Tyler, and Dalton, as well as many cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Hurley.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2021 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Memorials may be made to UMH Transplant Center Kidney/Pancreas Fund at the University of Michigan. Checks may be made to “University of Michigan” and sent to the Michigan Medicine Office of Development, 777 E.
