RONALD HOWARD IRRER
80, of Greenleaf Township died unexpectedly Monday, March 22, 2021 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born June 27,1940 in Linkville to Howard Gerhart and Nelda Elaine (Roller) Irrer.
Ron attended Cass City schools. He was thrilled with go-karts and racing. This eventually led to his passion for motorcycles. Ron rode and repaired them any chance he could. His love for racing and speed didn’t end there, he also enjoyed racing cars at the Owendale Speedway. Ron worked at General Cable and later as a machine operator for Cole Carbide Industries Inc., retiring after forty years of employment.
Ron is survived by his siblings: Raymond Irrer of Virginia Beach, VA; Barbara (Paul) Burdon of Gagetown; Beverly Irrer of Lovington, NM; Marvin (Barb) Irrer of Owendale; Joyce Anderson of Davenport, FL; nieces and nephews, whom he thought of as grandchildren: Charles Irrer, Kathleen Irrer, Willard Burdon, Paula Potter, Colleen Langenburg, Lorreen Wright, Mark Irrer, Matthew Irrer, Britt Wagner, Andrew Decker, Kirk Decker; great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; brothers-in-law: Clarence Decker and Jerry Anderson.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Grant Township Cemetery with Sam Leppert, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
