Marie Jacot

January 19, 1935 — December 10, 2013

MARIE LOUISE JACOT,
78, of Deford, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in Marlette Regional Hospital, Marlette. She was born January 19, 1935 in Mt. Clemens to Earl and Bina (Roberson) Redifer. She married Albert W. Jacot September 20, 1952 in Mayville.

Marie graduated from Kingston High School in 1952. Marie and Albert were high school sweethearts who recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Marie loved her family and animals. She was a talented artist who created unique wood furniture and carvings, as well as many oil paintings. Her art was a true expression of who she was: one-of-a-kind, rugged and rustic, creative and clever. She was loved for her spirit - independent, generous and loving.

Marie is survived by her husband, Albert; children: Kenneth (Dixie) Jacot of Cove, AR, Cynthia (Ted Birnbaum) Hayes of Bay City, Michal (Laurie) Jacot of East Tawas; grandchildren: Christine Juers, Candice Hayes, Victoria Jacot, Liberty Jacot, John Paul Jacot, Gregory Jacot, Brady Jacot; four great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Crissa) Redifer of Freeland; sister, Kay Wilcox of San Antonio, TX. Marie will also be remembered by her dear life-long friends, Ila Welch of Marlette and Kenagene Barrigar of North Branch. Last of all those left behind is Jake, the last of a long line of wire haired Fox Terriers, her constant companions and friends.

Memorial service will be held in the spring. Memorials may be made to Cass River Pet Friendz. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
