JEANIE LOUISE MARTIN
Jeanie L. Martin, 57, died Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in Satchell’s Christian Retirement Home, Caro. She was born August 26, 1969 in Bad Axe to Edward Bernard and Janet Irene (Greyerbiehl) Sweeney. She married Phillip Wade Martin on August 1, 1992 in St. Columbkille Church, Ubly. He died February 24, 2022.
A 1987 graduate of Cass City High School, Jeanie had a vibrant passion for life and the outdoors, whether she was snowmobiling or camping. She and Phil shared a deep love for travel, especially embarking on Caribbean cruises to warm, sunny destinations. One of her absolute favorite pastimes was taking cruises of a different kind—riding along the beautiful lakeshore with Phil in their cherished Mustang. Jeanie's love for rock and roll music and her unforgettable dance moves earned her the affectionate nickname “Jean Jean the dancing machine.” Above all, Jeanie was a devoted family person who treasured every moment spent making memories with her beloved siblings, nieces and nephews.
Jeanie is survived by her siblings: Anthony (Sue) Sweeney, Terry (Colleen) Sweeney, Jamie (Andy) Heineman, Todd (Paula) Sweeney, Troy (Laura) Sweeney, Janel Morgan, Jody (Dan) Bolton; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phil Martin; sister, Julie Hilts.
