 JEFFREY LEE LEFLER

Jeffrey L. Lefler, 56, of Cass City, died Saturday, January 24, 2026 in his home. He was born September 21, 1969 in Cass City to James Howard and Elizabeth Margaret (Pfaff) Lefler.

Jeffrey graduated from Cass City High School, where he played basketball and football. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. During this time, he worked security during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Jeffrey worked for the Ford Motor Company and then worked as a supervisor at Valley Enterprises in Ubly. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on television and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Jeffrey was fond of playing video games and bullying his cat, Olaf. He will be remembered as a nice, good man that was well thought of. The true joy of Jeffrey’s life was his son, James. Together, they enjoyed going out to eat at several different restaurants, always trying different types of food.

Jeffrey is survived by his son, James of Cass City; James’s mother, Laurie McCardle of NC; siblings: Michael (Lisa) Lefler of Mio, Sherry Lefler of Cass City, Thomas (Christina) Lefler of Hope, IN; uncle, Ed (Ellen) Pfaff of Argyle; nieces and nephews: Kayla (Michael) Kososky, Kyle (Tara) Lefler, Kathryn Lefler, Brandon (Brittany) Lefler, Cassondra Long, Alexis Long, Eric (Gina) Lefler, Bethany Lefler; great nieces and nephews: Dante, Aleena, McKenna, Hudson, EmJae, Weston, Luka, Barrett, Zoey, Yisraella, Zaven; also his special friends: Karen Rice, Corey (Kayle) Krinkie, Willow, and Hazel; Katie (Keith) Russell, Addison Fredricks, Paislee Ball, Blair Ball. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life held at a later date. Memorials may be made to James Lefler for the benefit of his son.
