JENNIFER ANN THAMES

Jennifer A. Thames, 49, of Caro died September 3, 2023 in her home following a hard-fought battle with breast cancer.  She was born November 4, 1973 in Detroit to Dan and Judith (Hechinger) Bokano.  Jennifer married John C. Thames on June 2, 2007 in Royal Oak.

Jennifer attended Warren Woods Tower High School. She was employed as an accountant for various accounting firms and also worked as a waitress, and for GM Tech Center in Sterling Heights.  Jennifer was a very dedicated wife and home-schooling mother.  She was strong in her faith and a member of Deford Community Church. Jennifer was a faithful witness for Jesus Christ.  

Jennifer is survived by her husband, John; their children:  Johnny, Jordan, Jessica; her father, Dan (Carol) Bokano; sisters:  April (Keifer) Fox, Cathy (Craig) Collett; brother, Danny (Camielle) Bokano; many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Judith Hechinger. 

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Deford Community Church with Pastor David Cooper officiating.  Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Right to Life or Deford Community Church.

Visitation:  4 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
