JERRY FRANCIS LAMOUREUX

Jerry F. Lamoureux, 87, of Cass City died Tuesday, July 21, 2026 in United Hospice Residence of Aspire Marlette. He was born July 14, 1939 in Warren Township to Henry and Loretta (Lavictoire) Lamoureux. He married Rachel Leyva on October 7, 1961.

Jerry graduated from Kingston High School with the class of 1957. Following high school, Jerry worked for Wilson Motor Sales in Marlette before joining the United States Army, and then returned to work there after his service. He also worked in management at Metalcraft in Marlette. Later, he worked in management as a plant manager at Active Industries (Towers) in Sebewaing until retirement. Together, Jerry and Rachel enjoyed spending time at their cottage in West Branch. Jerry was a musician all of his life, playing guitar and singing. He performed with the Fifth Gear band for twenty-six years, CC Gold with his brother-in-law for ten years, and the Tom and Jerry Show with Tom Guinther for fifteen years. He enjoyed taking several trips on his motorcycle. His travels took him to the east and west states, and included Yellowstone and Boston. Jerry took a trip to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, over 6000 miles, with friends. Jerry also enjoyed golf outings with close friends of the GFI (Good Friend Invitational), which included trips to Canada and Myrtle Beach. He loved his faith, his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife Rachel of sixty-four years; sisters-in-law: Rosie (Sonny) Quinn of Cass City; Judy Leyva of Mayville; Lucille Leyva of Brentwood, CA; Bev Leyva of Gagetown; Dawn Leyva of Caro; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Joseph and Estela Levya; sister, Doris Naeyaert; brother, Raymond Lamoureux; special brothers-in-law: Ralph, Joe, Bill, Paul, and Claude Leyva.

Funeral Mass held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Cass City with Fr. Robert Pare officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Consolata Parish. Military honors conducted by the Cass City V.F.W. Post #3644 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Cass City
