THADDEUS GREGORY JERZY, JR.
76, of Cass City, died peacefully Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon. He was born September 18, 1943 in Detroit, the first of three children born to Thaddeus Gregory and Mary (Tymczak) Jerzy, Sr. He married Pamela Mary Wolny August 6, 1966 in St. Basil Catholic Church, East Detroit.
Ted graduated from South Grosse Pointe High School and attended Ferris State University and Macomb County Community College. Ted worked for Chrysler retiring in 2000 after over 34 years of service. During this time, he taught drafting for Macomb County Community College in Warren. Ted was incredibly proud of his Polish heritage. He learned to speak the language before he learned to speak English. Ted enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and Pinochle, with friends and family. He collected HO scale trains and loved wolves. Ted enjoyed spending time camping with family, going to car shows and listening to country music. His hobbies included working on cars and solving word search puzzles.
Ted is survived by his wife, Pamela; three daughters: Kirsten Blackmer of Imlay City, Nicole Jerzy of Mt. Clemens, Melissa (Craig) Lowrie of Rockford; grandchildren: Cara Bernardi, Ashley Bernardi, Taylor Bernardi, Rena Bernardi, Alexia Bernardi, Ty Wedlake, Megan Lowrie; brother, Ron (Marsha) Jerzy of Harper Woods; sister, Jean Jerzy Volos of Sterling Heights; two nieces and two nephews and their families. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Joe (Elaine) Wolny of Shelby Township. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Theodore Nnabugo officiating.
