Johanna C. Miklovich

JOHANNA C. MIKLOVICH    

Johanna C. Miklovich, 100, of Rockford, formerly of Gagetown, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in The Village of Heather Hills, Grand Rapids.  She was born February 21, 1923, one of ten children born to Adam and Susanna (Petrie) Leiterman.  She married Joe Miklovich on November 8, 1941 in Gagetown.   He died October 21, 1986.    

Johanna worked at home on the farm and later as a nurse’s aide for Hills and Dales Hospital, Cass City.  She loved to crochet and time spent tending to her vegetables and flower gardens.  Johanna was intelligent and self-sufficient.  Always willing to give anything a try, she even knew how to change spark plugs in her lawn mower.  Johanna adored her grandchildren and always enjoyed their visits. 

Johanna is survived by her daughter, Betty Berry-Ederer of Rockford; her son, Joseph (Judy) Miklovich of Temple, TX; grandchildren: Daniel (Erika) Berry, Dennis (Kim) Berry, Becki (Scott) Flegel, Karla (Chad) Osorno, Reagan (Sadie) Miklovich; great-grandchildren:  Max, Isabella, Ava, Charlotte, Samantha, Shawn, Connor, Richard, Sophia; great-great-grandchildren:  Adam, Evan; sisters:  Dorothy Prichard of Sebewaing; Dolly Ondrajka of Marlette.  She is preceded in death by her siblings:  Max Leiterman, Barbara Parker, Christine Wissner, Adam Leiterman, Jr., Marie Menzel, James Leiterman, Robert Leiterman   

Funeral mass held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Gagetown with Fr. Robert Pare officiating. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown.  Memorials may be made to Hills and Dales Healthcare, Cass City.   

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Gagetown
