KAREN SUE BARR
Karen S. Barr, 66, of Decker, died unexpectedly Monday, June 9, 2025 in Marlette Regional Hospital. She was born February 14, 1959 at home in Cass City to Earl and Mildred (Hartley) Parker. She married Thomas William Barr IV on April 17, 1993 in Cass City.
Karen graduated from Cass City High School in 1977. She worked at Snover Stamping, Ligon Brothers, and JAC Products until retirement. In her younger years, Karen enjoyed bowling and was on several bowling leagues. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Karen treasured time spent with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was an avid Bible reader. Most of all, Karen enjoyed spending time with her family.
Karen is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Kayla (Justin) Vandercook; fifteen grandchildren: Joshua, Thomas, Nolah, David, Glennah, Logan, Gloriana, Arianah, Noah, Conor, Ellyana, Luke, Makenzie, Liam, Emma; brother, Randy Parker; sister, Ellen Horne; step children: Tera (Kevin) Wofford, Thomas (April) Barr V, Trisha (Josh) Shanks; father-in-law, Thomas (friend, Bev) Barr III; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Lary, Gary, Andrew; mother-in-law, Alice Barr; step mother-in-law, Sue Barr; niece, Candice Horne.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in First Baptist Church of Cass City with Pastor Chuck Carr officiating. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cass City.
