Pauline J. Kelly, 80, of Cass City, died Thursday, December 26, 2002 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw after a short illness. She was born July 12, 1922 in Tyre to Albert and Belle (Park) Hill. She married John A. Kelly August 1, 1947 in Scottville, MI. He died April 8, 1981.
Pauline attended school until the 8th grade and recently completed the requirements to receive her diploma. She attended Patricia Stevens’ School of Modeling in Detroit. Pauline worked at Nestle’s in Cass City for 11 years and then for the State of Michigan at Caro Regional Center for 11 years. She attended St. Pancratius Catholic Church, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post #3644 Cass City VFW, Clan Cambell Society and the Caseville Eagles Aerie #3690.
Pauline is survived by her son, Thomas (Dale) Kelly of Cass City; grandchildren: Michelle (Richard) Salcido of Cass City, Heather Kelly of McKinley, TX, Drew Kelly of Saginaw, great-granddaughter, Abbey Salcido; sister Barbara (Lyle) Jochim of Fairgrove; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Laverne Dodge and Margaret Hill; and her brothers: Lloyd, Roy “Bunker”, and Clifford Hill.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2002 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Andersen Eye Institute (to help people with Macular Degeneration), 5400 Mackinaw, Suite 5000, Saginaw, MI 48604.
