VONDA RUTH KOLB
93, of Cass City, died following lengthy illnesses Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in her home. She was born September 13, 1927 at home in Evergreen Township to William and Charity (Barrett) Brown. She married Carl Robert Kolb October 18, 1947 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City. He died August 23, 1995.
In her younger days, she enjoyed snow skiing and bowling. Vonda worked as a sale’s clerk at Kritzman’s for twenty-seven years and later, briefly, at Coachlight Pharmacy. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Extension Club and its Ladies Group. Vonda traveled to every state except Hawaii. She was skilled in sewing, crocheting, knitting and quilting.
Vonda is survived by children: Larry Kolb of Cass City; Thomas (Jamie) Kolb of Kimmell, IN; Lou Ann Kolb of Cass City; son-in-law: Steve Eyer of Cass City; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother: Wallace (Clair) Brown of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sally Eyer and six siblings.
Memorial service will be held at a later date in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
