NANCY LEE LEINO,
81, of Cass City, died Friday, February 3, 2023 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. She was born December 18, 1941, one of twelve children born to Frank Paul and Augusta (Kutchinsky) Smoker in Pennsylvania. She married William Roy Leino on August 24, 1962. They made their home in Johannesburg where her husband farmed, until they moved to Cass City in 1979. He died February 23, 1982.
Nancy earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Education from Geneva College. She worked for many years as a Second-Grade teacher in Campbell Elementary School of Cass City until retirement. Nancy devoted her life to her family and to her career as a teacher. She loved children, especially all of her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her daughters: Terri Leino of Indianapolis, IN; Kathy (Richard) Lively of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Gingell Cemetery, Johannesburg in the spring.
