MARION ROSE LEMKE,
71, of Decker, died following a courageous battle with cancer Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. She was a fighter until the end. Marion was born September 6, 1950 in Detroit. She married David Henry Lemke, Sr. on October 3, 1969 in Detroit. They were looking forward to celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary together.
Marion graduated from Cody High School in 1968. Together, she and David lived in Sterling Heights before they moved to Evergreen Township. Marion fell in love with the calming peace that the country offered, especially the nature and animals. She delighted in watching the deer and rabbits in her backyard. Marion was a homemaker and a great cook. Some of David’s favorite meals that Marion made included her roast beef and chicken dinners. Her favorite hobbies included knitting and crocheting, her home has rooms full of carefully crafted blankets and plenty of unused yarn.
Marion is survived by her husband, David; son, David H. Lemke, Jr. of Dayton, OH; grandchildren: William Lemke, Jonathon Lemke, Amanda Lemke. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
