LINDA MARY PETERS
Linda M. Peters, 77, of Roseville, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 22, 2024 in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She was born May 2, 1947 in Cass City, one of ten children born to Harold and Hazel (Kritzman) Peters.
Linda grew up on the family farm in Decker and that is where she began her incredible work ethic. She graduated from Port Huron Northern High School. Linda worked as a waitress and for Atwood Elementary School in Macomb. She then went to work as the owner and operator of her company, R & L Transport, Inc.
Later, she was employed by the Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights as an assembly team leader. Linda was always involved with her children and her grandchildren, especially with Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, after school events and sports. She was a fantastic cook and baker. Linda enjoyed mystery television shows and movies, and was a tremendous Detroit Red Wings fan. A generous person, she maintained an open-door policy for everyone and always had a meal and bed for anyone that was in need.
Linda is survived by her children: Lisa (Ted) Cary of Macomb, Robert (Sandra) Sumpter, Jr. of Sterling Heights, Randall (Casondra) Sumpter of Chesterfield; grandchildren: Kevin, Bailee, Zachary, Matthew, Hendrix; great grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Jimmy III; siblings: Janet Laszlo, Dean (Darlene) Peters, David (Kay) Peters; sisters-in-law: Michele Peters, Mary Peters; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Joseph Peters, Michael Peters, Gary Peters, Fred Peters, Marilyn Gulley, Alice Peters; brother-in-law, John Laszlo; niece, Gail Laszlo Klein; nephews: Mark Laszlo, John Gulley.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Memorials may be made to Lisa Cary for the family’s discretionary fund. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
