GARY LEE LOWE

56, of Snover died following a brief illness Monday, January 27, 2020 in United Hospice of Marlette Hospice Residence, Marlette. He was born May 6, 1963 in Cass City to Robert George and Wenola Mae (Helwig) Lowe. He married Tammy Lee Dearing January 30, 1982 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City.

Gary graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1981. He worked for his family’s dairy farm. Gary was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting for deer, elk, fox and coyotes. He took his first ever black bear this past fall. Gary was a member of the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation. He built and maintained a training pen for dogs that are being taught to hunt coyotes. Gary also watched basketball and football games on television. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife Tammy; children: James (Kayla Franzel) Lowe of Snover; Jennifer (Tristan) Keeler of Leavenworth, KS; Lindey (Ethan Shaltonis) Lowe of Snover; grandchildren: Devan Lowe, Greyson Lowe, Vera Lowe, Aiden Keeler, Gavin Keeler, Dylan Pitcher, Aleigha Shaltonis; siblings: Ed Lowe of Snover; Ken (Sherry Flemington) Lowe of Caro; Alan (Lynn Kilbourn) Lowe of Snover; Sharon (Marc) Fruhner of East Pointe; Sally (William) Pergande of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Nancy Lowe.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers for Mr. Lowe will be: Matthew Maloney, Robert Maloney, Neil Olds, Charles Hendrick, Ethan Shaltonis, Brad Calahan. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette.
