James Mallory

April 19, 1930 — November 9, 2013

JAMES JUNIOR MALLORY,
of Kingston, died following a short illness Saturday, November 9, 2013 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center with his family at his side. He was born April 19, 1930 in his Aunt Annie's house in Cass City to Jem Jennings and Eva Pearl (Deneen) Mallory. He married Beverly Jean Gilmore September 5, 1953 in her parent's living room in Kingston. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Tuscola County Road Commission as a Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator retiring in 1992 after many years of service. Jim is a former member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #226 F & AM and a member of Kingston VFW Post #5317. He regularly attended Kingston Wesleyan Church. Jim was a member of Kingston Fire Department for over 40 years. Jim enjoyed camping and hunting fox, deer, rabbit and pheasant over the years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons: Gary (Mary Lou) Mallory of Kingston, Jeff (Tara) Mallory of Kingston; daughter, Trasi (Garrison) Goforth of Vassar; daughter-in-law, Renee Mallory of Gagetown; grandchildren: James (Linsey) Mallory, Jamie (Mark) Tiemeyer, Dustin (Jessie) Mallory, Derrick Mallory, Jeffrey Mallory, Alexandra Mallory, Courtney Mallory, Preston (Andrea) Goforth, Tom Goforth, Garrett Goforth, Emma Goforth; great grandchildren: Kayleb, Madison, Aiden, Kylee and baby boy Tiemeyer due November 26th; many nieces and nephews; He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Mallory; brothers: Orville J. Mallory, Richard Mallory; sisters: Marjorie Mallory, Wilma McLellan , Dorothy McLellan.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Len Wyatt of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will take place in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Pallbearers for Mr. Mallory: Dustin Mallory, Derrick Mallory, Jim Mallory, Preston Goforth, Rick Mallory and Darryl Mallory. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center, Kingston Fire and Rescue or Kingston Wesleyan Church. Military honors under the direction of Kingston VFW Post #5317.
