MANUEL P. BENITEZ

     Manuel P. Benitez, 76, of Cass City died Saturday evening June 20, 2026 in his home. He was born September 29, 1949 in Elkton to Tino and Anita (Torres) Benitez. He married Connie June DeLong on October 16, 1971 in Pigeon.

     Manuel graduated from Laker High School in 1967. Following graduation, he immediately began his career working for General Motors in their Saginaw Steering Gear plant. Manuel was employed for thirty years until he retired. He was fond of all types of sports and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Manuel was known for spoiling his dogs. He loved washing, waxing, and detailing his cars.

     Manuel is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Connie; his daughter, Jodi Benitez; son, Troy Benitez; very special friend, Jeri Bradshaw; his dogs: Gunnar and Marley. He is preceded in death by his parents.

     A private graveside service will be held.
