PHILLIP WADE MARTIN
62, of Cass City, died Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Heritage Hill Assisted Living, Caro. He was born June 11, 1959 in Cass City to Frederick Clifford and Kathryn Belle (Roth) Martin. He married Jeanie Louise Sweeney on August 1, 1992 in St. Columbkille Church, Ubly.

Philip graduated from Cass City High School in 1977. He went on to Ferris State University where he earned an Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry. Phillip worked for Cass City Sports, selling sporting goods and later went to work with Richard Jones at Richard’s TV and Appliance of Caro. He became the sole owner for a couple of years. Phillip was a member of St. Columbkille Church and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Ubly-Sheridan Council #12850. His favorite outdoor activities included snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes, and camping. Phillip was a music lover and could fluently play almost every instrument. He was a skilled pianist and keyboardist. Together, he and Jeanie enjoyed traveling, especially the Caribbean Cruises to warm and sunny destinations.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Jeanie; brother, David (Deborah) Martin of Cass City; nephew, Andrew Martin; niece, Amelia Martin; aunt, Jean (William) Ewald of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Clifford and Hazel Martin.

Funeral Mass held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 Good Shepherd Parish of Ubly, St. Columbkille Church with Rev. Nathan E. Harburg officiating. Interment will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery.
