LEONA MARGARET MAXSON
83, of Silverwood died Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Covenant Healthcare, Harrison Campus. She was born September 10, 1937 in Bay City to William and Hilda (Schwab) Summerfield. She married William Daniel Maxson March 31, 1956 in Munger Lutheran Church. He died August 26, 1999.

Leona worked for Kingston Chrome, Mayville Molding and Consumers Power in the accounting department. She sold Avon products and Sarah Coventry jewelry. Leona loved being outdoors tending to her garden and feeding the animals and birds. She was talented at sewing, baking and cooking. Leona loved to play cards, listen to music and going to the casino. She always did for others first and was fondly known as grandma to many. Leona was a member of The Meeting Place Worship Center in Kingston.

Leona is survived by her children: Cindy (Rich) Kinel of Silverwood, Beverly (Jerry) Gilmore of Kingston, Daniel Maxson of Caro, five grandchildren: Lee Kinel, Clayton Harrison, Daniel Maxson, Randy Maxson, Gary Kloc; great-grandson, Riley Kinel, Austin Harrison, Jordan Maxson, Colton Maxson, Jaxson Kloc; sisters: Elaine Poirier of Pigeon, Kathy (Gordon) Daniels of Reese. She is preceded in death by her son, William D. Maxson II; grandson, Steve Kinel.

Private family graveside service held in East Dayton Cemetery, Caro with Pastor Tim Rich of The Meeting Place Worship Center, Kingston officiating.
