JOAN FRANCES McILHARGIE,
74, of Mayville, died Monday, August 2, 2021 in Covenant Harrison Campus, Saginaw. She was born March 31, 1947 in Pontiac, one of five daughters born to John and Esther (Bouford) Campbell. She spent many happy years with her significant other, Mark Eugene Goelet. He died July 29, 2020.
Joan graduated from Pontiac schools. She attended college for two years where she studied flowers and floral design. Joan worked as a housekeeper and a bartender for many years. She was talented and skilled in many forms of art including painting, ceramics, and especially, floral arranging. Joan loved her grandchildren and was always the happiest when she was with them. Having a soft heart for animals, she was fond of donating to animal rescue shelters and societies for animals.
Joan is survived by her children: Anthony Phillips of Mayville; Sara (Jimbo) Clark of Owensboro, KY; Wally Phillips of Deckerville; Cassie (Jeff) Partaka of Ubly; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters: Jane (Dave) Oswalt of Clarkston; Sally (Michael) Farnsworth of Pigeon; Sue (Babe) Gehrke of Knoxville, TN; her special aunt, Bonnie Fox of Waterford. Joan is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Foote; son, Joe Phillips; sister, Carol Chase.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating.
