ROGER LEE MCKNIGHT,
57, of Cass City died unexpectedly Friday, February 12, 2016 in his home. He was born November 12, 1958 in Traverse City to Delbert and Ida R. (Wells) McKnight.
Roger worked for Cass City Hardees Restaurant, Cass City High School Cafeteria and spent many years as a cook for Charmont. Roger loved people and took pleasure in spending time socializing in the park. He enjoyed attending church and visiting with his church family. Although he never married or began a family of his own, Dawn and Scott Woidan and their family included him as part of theirs and made him feel loved. Roger was often seen riding his bicycle around town, even on snowy streets. Roger will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and compassionate heart.
Roger is survived by his nephew Joe Oszust ( Carren Childs Englehart) and great nephew , Zachary. Dawn and Scott Woidan and their family, special friends Pastor Robert Tucker ( Lynn) , Garth and Joyce Hazzard and many church friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Ida McKnight; sister, Yvonne Oszust.
Memorial service held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:00 in Potters House Church with Pastor Robert Hill and Assistant Pastor Garth Hazzard officiating. Interment will take place in Watertown Cemetery, Millington. Memorials may be made to Kranz Funeral Home to assist with burial costs.
